International Society for the Study of Time

The conference registration fee helps the ISST pay for the conference facitities and preparations, and helps to support the society.  The fee is $175 ($75 students) and may be paid by using the
registration form.

The lodging fee is paid directly to the Hotel El Establo.  It covers room and all meals for the week.  There are packages arranged by the ISST and the costs are approximately:  (six nights, per person): $720 double occupancy, $834 single, and $660 triple (all rooms have two queen sized beds), inclusive of the traditional banquet on the final (Friday) evening.  There will be a special web page for ISST Conferees to arrange lodging.  As of this writing, we understand that the hotel is willing to extend this special rate to members who want to stay additional days beyond the conference.

Travel
The Society will arrange buses to take us from the airport in San Jose to the hotel.  We will be asking you for arrival times to get an idea of who is arriving when on Sunday, July 25.  Similarly, there will be a schedule of buses departing the hotel on Saturday, July 31.

Free Day Activities
On Wednesday, July 28, there will be few if any conference activities, allowing for the traditional day of down time.  Activities in the area include a potential visit to the Arenal Volcano, or the Cloud Forest.  Locally there are pools and zip lines for those who want to stay around the hotel.  Meals will continue to be served on this day; box lunches are available to those going on tours.
